I had no clue this is actually a site based from the UK. Most websites I've visited are from the US or UK.

Elevator Action

Elevator Action is a 1983 arcade game by Taito Corporation. It has a mix of the action, platformer, puzzle and shooter genres.

The player assumes the role of a spy infiltrating a 30-story building filled with elevators. The player is pursued by enemy agents who appear from behind closed doors. These agents must be dealt with via force or evasion. Successful completion of a level involves collecting all the secret documents and traversing the building from top to bottom.

Why is this longplay only three minutes long? There's so much more to this game then your gonna be able to show in three minutes.

Reinc on December 01 2017 10:51:57

It loops the same level. The only things that change are the speed of enemies and their projectiles, colors of the building, and red door locations. It's one of those old arcade games where the only point in continuing to play is to rack up the biggest score against ever-increasing difficulty.

MadMatty on December 01 2017 17:24:14

In these cases I think there should still be some effort made to show the game. After all, you wouldn't have put down your 40$ for the cartridge to only play it for 4 mins simply because it appears to repeat it self. The same with Atari games. Go for a big score, show the game getting harder. Maybe even see how for you can get without any savestates or let your lives run out over time so its appears like a semi legit long play.

I know there are not many examples on this site of these type of games being played for any length of time, but lets try to be better and set a new example Wink

Reinc on December 02 2017 02:07:29

Alright, I can re-record this game, but it's going to be more of the same. I have already shown every way to attack and to avoid attacks, as well as all deaths.

EDIT: Done.

Nice thanks Reinc!
