How to record PS2 in GOOD quality? (like RickyC)

Hey guys. I wanted to ask, how do i record good quality movies on the PS2? I use a DV camera, and i transfer my videos to my PC via FireWire. Okay, so i render my videos in Sony Vegas, and they look like garbage! They are blurry, have interlaced lines, disgusting! I watched RickyC-s MGS3 walktrought, and he had very good quality. So i wondered, how do i do the same? (i want to upload to YouTube, in 4:3, so i only have 1 pair of black bars, widescreen looks streched) Would be grateful if you could help me.

My video: (looks like blurry garbage)

RickyC-s MGS3 video (looks good)

Also, i use Composite (White,Yellow,Red) cables to record, and in PAL.

So i would really appreciate if you could help me, as i said, i wish to have 4:3, like old YT videos, because widescreen would make it even worse.

Thanks alot. :)

If you have interlaced stuff, you can use a deinterlacer. I use Yadif(mode=0).

If you are used to AviSynth:

Load_Stdcall_plugin("C:\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\yadif.dll")
AVISource("filedirectory")
Yadif(mode=0) It is pretty good in my opinion.

You want to say that the FIRST walktrough Ricky did was using Component cables? I don't think so, the second one, yes.

Pfft...my bad. Didn't bother going to the link (nor read the opening post)

Well, if I remember correctly, RickyC used a Dazzle.
Also, try working AviSynth and MeGUI (this site has information on how to do that).

Does your DV Camera accept S-Video? S-Video is better than composite (I tried it a few times on my Dazzle. Way better.)

This is what I get when I use MeGUI, a deinterlacer, S-Video, and a Dazzle:

Can you PM your settings/editing process? Thanks. I want to remove that blur from my videos, it's annoying.
