What kinds of equipment is used by our favorite Longplayers?
Computer Specs, Favorite Software. That sort of thing. I think that it would be helpful knowledge for people wanting to get started Longplaying.
Geekmeister:Recording equipment:
PC Games: Camtasia Studio 5 or Fraps
Console Games: When Possible I use the bult in recorders (if I'm using an emulator) otherwise I use the Happauge HD PVR.

Editing: VideoRedo, Virtualdub

Encoding: Megui, then muxing video and audio together with Mkvmerge.

I found Valis77 on gameanyone but I don't find any equipment section
I am using Windows 98 it has very slow internet
And cannot buy Windows XP I don't have mony for Windows XP
Tsunao
I might as well pitch in.

Speccy in a nutshell (not all that great):
Windows XP
Intel Core2 Duo
E7600 @ 3.06GHz (whatever the hell that means)
2.72 GB of RAM
And an nVidia card somewhere in there.

Anything emulator:
The emulator of choice (usually the rerecording version of an emulator)
Codec: TSCC (Techsmith Capture Codec. I USED to use ffdshow configured to either H.264 and then FFV1, but I found out it derps the color.)

Consoles (PS2, Wii, [d]Shitbox[/d] Xbox 360):
Hauppauge HD PVR (for recording)
VideoRedo (to "edit" and make one new file)

PSP:
"Special" PSP-1000 (read: hacked)
RemoteJoyLite 0.19 or 0.20a, depending on the game
FRAPS

If FRAPS don't like whatever I am trying to record:
Camtasia Screen Recorder (I used this one Arcana Heart 3 and Streets of Rage Remake)

Encoding and muxing:
MeGUI (MKVMerge will desync the file if uploaded to YouTube.)

Other mentions:
AviSynth, because MeGUI demands it.
