Player's Review

"ENJOY FRANTIC oriental action in this Ninja beat-em-up. Search for kidnapped children and dispose of marauding thugs with blows from feet, fists and shuriken stars. Classic SEGA coin op thrills!"

Not much to say about this one. It's a game I first played on the Master System so my thoughts are a little soured on the C64 version. There is no in game music which there is little excuse for on the C64. The gfx style is pretty average for the time but not bad. Like most Sega conversion though, the presentation is good. A little intro, bonus stages and even an ending that is more than just 'congrats'.

Aim of the game is go out and rescue the kids that evil ninjas are guarding for some reason. Most enemies are quickly taken out with shuriken's, just the guards throwing swords to time your shots against. You do get one unit of magic per stage so use sparingly. Not sure how useful it is against the bosses as they don't take many hits to kill but I find the magic useful for when you have two enemies on screen shooting or throwing. Or if an enemy is in a spot you need to jump to.

Overall not a bad game. Not too difficult. Like most of these type of games, its the bosses that usualy get ya.
