Hybrid Heaven

Player's Review
RPG by Konami. That's right. A RPG! ON THE FRIGGIN' N64! BY KONAMI!
Follow Secret Service Agent Johnny Slater as he attempts to save humanity by fighting. And by "fighting", I mean by wrestling them...or kickboxing...or throwing hands. Yes. Wrestling. We have power bombs and piledrivers and sharpshooters and running bulldogs and DDTs. Better than it sounds!
Gameplay involves running through an area with some platforming elements. Then you get into a scuffle with a hybrid. You have a power bar that fills up (analogue: Secret of Mana's bar), which determines your strength of your attacks. At later levels, they can be stocked to do a combo. When attacking, you can punch or kick or attempt to grapple and do a Technique (aka WRASSLING MOVE!). Each attack levels up a different part. You use kicks, you will level up leg offense. You use wrassling moves, depending on the move, you will level up a certain part (9 times out of 10, it levels up body). Likewise, if a part gets hit, the defense rating increases. To learn attacks, you have to see the enemy use it, especially when it comes to techniques.
This longplay kickboxes and headbutts and GODDAMN PILEDRIVES! the hybrids on Normal difficulty. There are some times I fight the same enemy so I can get a few level ups. Some fights are longer because I attempt to get some of the wrassling moves. Sadly, I don't get all of them, but I do get a majority of them.
me: -gets uppercut'd- "DAYUM! Dat bitch uppercut me!"
