From MobyGames:
'Janggun-ui Adeul is based on the Korean movie The General's Son (1990). It is set in the 1920's, during the Japanese occupation of Korea, and tells the story of Kim Doohan, a beggar and street punk who discovers that he is the son of a renowned general, and unites the lower circles of the Korean society to fight against the Japanese oppression.'
Unlike the NES release, which is a 1v1 fighting game, this one is a beat em up. Five short stages, each one with a boss and the final level is a boss rush. An English prototype exists which removes the ending without any reason at all.
