Sure, why not? I've been wanting to do the main Yakuza games for a long time, this being one of them. I know Yakuza 0 has already been longplayed (which that was what got me into the series), but I might do others.

I've never played any of the Yakuza games, maybe someday but not anytime soon
If I can't be the best then I certainly won't be the worst.

You should try them sometime. Yakuza 5 is download only unless you can get the Remastered Collection on PS4. I recommend you start with Yakuza 0, as that really popularized the series beyond Japan and was a good pick-me-up when the series dragged a little.
