Hello. I'd like to record longplays of a few obscure Atari 2600 games. I have the software required to emulate these games. But where are the rules that you need to follow to submit longplays ?

It's on a very long list of games that need recording We are still waiting on a suitable Amiga AGA emulator with robust recording features before tackling such games.

Hello, this message is for MadMatty. I noticed you did many of the longplays for Zool. Have you come across the version for Amiga CD32?
You need to first be made a longplayer by one of the administrators. Then, you click on the "Submission Status", fill out the boxes at the very top, and then record the longplay.
Recording - You're currently recording the game. Notifies other longplayers so they know that it's already being taken care of.
Encoding - You are encoding the longplay into a single video. This is video editing and processing.
Uploading (WIP) - This means you are uploading the encoded videos to the FTP.
Uploaded - The video is on the FTP and you are waiting for approval.
For further instruction, refer to these forum pages:

To submit your first longplay correctly, you visit us in the IRC chat and talk to us.
Then we tell you how to do it. Once the video was uploaded to the FTP and verified, we will add you as official longplayer!
