Red Zone

From the developers of Sub-Terrainia comes another ball bustingly difficult game for the Mega-Drive! A preview version of the game was known as 'Hard Wired'. Perhaps a nod to the Amiga scenedemo of the same name by Crionics.

While the game can be quite short, your going to be playing levels over and over to get it right as its an insainly hard game. It looks unlike anyother Mega drive game, there is plenty going on that is surly pushing the hardware to its limits.

Again, lots of nice tunes and nice gfx especially on the ground sections. I find the main helicopter game can seem abit dark.

You get ONE life. If you helicopter is shot down, time to restart. What makes the game really hard is your stats continue over to the next mission. if your really damaged or low on fuel, it could be game over unless there is a refuel/repair drop near by. On foot, you get 3 lives, but you will lose that particular soldier and its abilities.

Towards the end of the game there is an Asteroids mini-game and i kind of got caried away with it. I think its endless so stopped after 21 levels.

A shame about the ending really, concidering how difficult the game is. Would have liked something abit more special for keeping all 3 soldiers alive
