Player's Review

This game has been requested more than a few times so I thought it was time to tackle it. I've been apprehensive about longplaying it due to the game being quite long and not being sure if I can do the game justice. While the games music fits the game well, I think it could have benefited by a few more pieces of more varied music as the game seems to have only one piece of music that plays the entire time with a few shorter pieces for specific levels/areas.

As mentioned, the game is quite long with a fair amount of dialogue to read. While I'm not concerned about score, I do lose sight of the objective and explore more than I need to. However, I have tried to show as many secret areas that I can while collecting all the earthlings and Lamont's favourite Things. I try to show any hidden platforms and presents along the way as well.

One of the types of secrets in the game is access to the Funkotron Zone. I show it a few times near the beginning but after a while they become annoying so I don't play them unless I am pulled in. I do however show how you can gain access to them throughout the longplay. I should also add, that I completed each of the 3 zone courses which unlocks infinite superjars which makes trapping the earthlings much easier. Other secrets include Trixie's Rendezvous which can give you a power up lasting for an entire level. I do use the Funkovac occasionally as its handy for collecting a screen full of earthlings in one go. I never found much use for the Panic button as it rarely traps earthlings and when it does I don't notice and pickup in time.

The game also has mini games you can play for score. I take part in all the Jamming sessions but I do not do all that well as the timing has to be really precise even though I think I played all the notes in order. Then there is the fungus Olympics where you need to jump around for a bit and try to get a high rating each time. Again I didn't do so well, but its only for score so I wasn't that bothered.
