Bill's Tomato Game (Prototype)

Previously unreleased prototype version of the game for the sega genesis/mega-drive.

All thx must go to MrMark067 for making this game available firstly as an actual cartridge and secondly for making the rom image freely available.

This longplay shows all 80 levels in this version and can be compared with the Amiga original. There are uite a few differences between the version and I will list the more obvious ones.

The beanstalk/tree to the clouds is completely different. The tomato has no facial animations while waiting to be launched and also the launcher changes with the level theme in this version. Some levels that were previously a single screen in the Amiga version are now scrollable screens making them a little more difficult. Also, you can now guide bill while he is in motion which is a mechanic I really do not like on the later levels where you need it. It makes working out where to place pieces that much harder as you can pull him back or allow him to go further while he is moving through the air.

I think this is a good port of the game with some odd decisions made in places. The title screen looks quite bad compared against the Amigas hires version. Oh and the end sequence has been cut short as well. The controls are not to bad but can be a hindrance on those levels with really tight time limits.
