Player's Review
Minesweeper is a puzzle video game. The game originates from the 1960s, and has been written for many computing platforms in use today. It has many variations and offshoots. The PCE-CD version was developed by Arc System Works and published by Pack-In-Video in 1992.
The colors in the PCE-CD version make the playing field appear blurry after looking at it for a while, and the directional controls are slippery, so you often go 1-2 tiles further than you were planning to and set off a mine before you know it, which makes this game harder than it should be.
The PCE-CD version has three modes: Play mode, which is just regular Minesweeper, Voyage mode, where the player removes mines from oceans and seas of the world over the span of three centuries, and Cook's Quest, where the player explores a cave and collects treasure using Minesweeper gameplay.
