Ikari Warriors

Ikari is a short shooting game that would be very nice and fun to play if it wasn't so hard. Enemies are spawned randomly and they never stop to run at you, tanks explode when they are left out of gass, homing missle decoys you can spot untill it's too late and you lose all your weapon upgrades when you die. Maybe there are people who could finish it with one coin, but I never managed that as a kid. There is one more reason for that:

You see, when Ikari Warriors was relised on arcade, it's cabinet had special controller that would allow your character to go into one direction while you could rotate and aim into any other. Well, it supossed to have that controller. At our local place, we had normal cabinet with simple controller so we couldn't rotate our hero! So we played the game by shooting just straight! No wonder that we neved managed to finsh game with one coin, but even that way we managed to came very far. My record was to pass both lakes. This video was recorded using MAME where is still difficult, but possible to rotate character.
