Volguard II

Japanese shoot-em-up from dB-Soft (same developers of Layla on Famicom). The game itself is endless, it supposedly 'ends' after beating Area 25 but it just loops, plus that the difficulty is ridiculously high even on Level-1 (if you choose Level-4, you're literally screwed after Area 1 because enemies won't stop shooting bullets at your ship).
