EarthBound Beginnings

a.k.a. EarthBound Zero, officially known as EarthBound Beginnings, this is the first of the Mother/EarthBound trilogy created by Japanese copywriter Shigesato Itoi. It was going to be released overseas, but marketing issues prevented it from ever leaving Japan. A fully-working prototype floated around, and a group named Demiforce nabbed it, slapped the subtitle "Zero", then distributed it across the Internet, making it two version of the game. Mother was finally released overseas 26 years after its released under the name "EarthBound Beginnings" on the Wii U's Virtual Console, using the exact prototype you see here. There are many differences between this and the original Mother, among them is the most important of them all: the ability to hold the B Button to run and to select the map without actually having it on you as an item.

I frequently make pit stops to Magicant (usually when a party member gets clobbered) and I'll sometimes goof off and show some extras whenever I find it. I keep grinding to a minimum, but I decided not to edit it out for fear the editing will be obvious. Sorry. Lastly, I absentmindedly selected REST whenever I called the dad and saved my game near the end.
