Player's Review

Platformer simulator by Quintet.

You are Master waking up from the world's longest power nap to beat up Tanzra because he is a dick.

Gameplay is part platformer, part simulation. You descend down to Earth to beat up critters, restore civilization and fix their problems, then descend to Earth AGAIN to get rid of the big bad of the day! In Sim mode, you use an angel to shoot critters and call on Master to do miracles. This version of the game is mixture of the US version (all of its sim complete with bridge tech to get to max population, overall stage layout and item placements) and the JP version (some traps restored, like Aitos-1, some enemy placements and attack patterns, like Fillmore-1, the CURSED JP Maranha-1 boss, and Marahna-2, and spikes insta-kiill) while throwing in its own version flair (all enemies have their own attack power. Midboss-y enemy in Fillmore-2 does some 5 damage! The fire sword power-up is nerfed, prolonging the Satanrza fight. Aitos-1 boss shoots projectiles. Aitos-2 boss is RANDOM!) It's just an overall harder game. Harder than Japanese version.

This longplay no-skills the game on Expert (majority of enemies that take 1 hit takes 2 hits. All enemies get one more damage to their attack) while getting max population (I even get the tryhard max population for Fillmore). I almost wanted to do the other difficulties, but they were no different (Beginner just make enemies one less hit to defeat. Normal gives MOST enemies 2 hits to take down. Enemy attack power still the same!) We do a bit of glitchin' in this by making lots of roads where you normally can't (it grants NO benefit whatsoever, unlike the JP version) and doing the wall stuff on Maranha-1 boss (because JP Rafflesher is cursed Rafflesher. I don't do this for Action mode) I also throw in Action mode, which is Professional mode but funner: you increase your health by finding the powers up and you can stock magic. It is also harder because health increasers pretty much replace the 1-Ups. You do get 1-Ups every 20k points, though.
