Total Carnage

This here is a damned hard port of the arcade original, especially if going for 100%. I had to complete the game 3 times before getting it right. The game is quite long with some repetitive parts such as destroying a looooong road of trucks.

I'm sure the game would be much easier with 2 players but the challenge of getting all the keys still stands. 120 keys are needed and the drop rate is pretty damn low and when they do randomly appear, its usually just as they are about to scroll off the screen!! Getting all these keys requires making sure to use all the correct warp jumps to the arenas and bonus areas and never taking the shortcuts. Also, not using the bombs to clear stages quick helps as well, as the longer you are there killing stuff, the more likely a random key will drop. Getting to the end realising you misses a few is .. very annoying!

The final stage where you must capture the general for the best ending is absolutely impossible in one player. if just 4 soldiers get away, you have failed. They move at different speeds and because your character moves so slow its imposable to cover both sides. I had to plug in pad 2 and control one pad in each hand to get through that final bit.

If I knew before hand how much effort it was going to take to get the perfect ending, i probably would have not bothered to record the game!
