Player's Review

"Yipes! Grab your slingshot, water pistol and pea-shooter. Margaret, the fist-fighting doll-toting little miss dynamite, and Joey, Dennis' wimpy but loyal friend, are missing and so is Mr. Wilson's valuable coin collection.
Can you sneak into Mr. Wilson's house and fine your slingshot and pea- shooter without being spotted? You've got rope ladders to climb and hidden switches to find... it's going to be tough You're gonna need those weapons bad as you face off with the beastly Betty Sue Dubrovski, the crazed Coach, the foul Fish and Sam the scariest of them all. On this late-night escapade, bees, bulldogs, birds, frogs and even bunnies will be a menace to Dennis.
Finding Joey, Margaret and Mr. Wilson's coin collection will be an adventure more harrowing than a garden full of cheek pinchers, and you know what Mr. Wilson says, "that's no g. d. (gosh darn) joke".

Game by Ocean Software based on the Movie of the same name. The game is played on its default Hard setting and all 19 levels + boss battles are shown.

The game can be fiendishly difficult as there are so many enemies to dodge and shoot and they respawn as well. Plenty of time is allotted so no need to rush through it though. Only the first level looks like its had any significant development time. It is the only level with a subtle hint of puzzle element. Like figuring what the switch does and remembering to pick up the blow pipe else the rest of the game might be more difficult. The rest of the levels are a lot more linear in the way you are guided around the level. Later in the game, especially on the Sewer levels, a lot of precision jumping is involved. way to much!

The game will be fondly remembered by readers of Amiga Power where the game received a messily score of 8%. I get the feeling the developers didn't think players would bother to get to the end so include only the minimal credit roll as an ending

In contrast to the Amiga game, this version has more detailed backgrounds and better animations as you might expect although the Amiga game can be considered a poor effort. The music is better in this game although still a bit gloomy considering the target audience. and it's worth noting that the Sewer and boilers levels have been swapped around. sfx plus music is also standard.
