Anubis II

This 'game' is part of a series of four 'titles' that are technically the same thing except for graphics. This means same gameplay, same game modes, same... almost everything. No wonder why people hated them because of the rushed and unpolished treatment DDI (Data Design Interactive) gave to them during development and (lack of) QA testing.

Here you control the Egyptian god that gives the name to this 'title', with his so-called Scepter of Ra which is used for both close combat and ranged attacks. When killing enemies with your bullets, they become stronger though the meter is decreased gradually if getting hit, just like in Ninjabread Man. Basic gameplay as always, and nope, there is no real plot at all here. But... this one has another attack which are the Kanopic bombs, you only have three in each level though they are only actually used for the final bossfight (another addition to this otherwise piece of shovelware).

For those who are asking if there are extra modes, the answer is no in this case. However, you get to play a bonus minigame between levels which consists of lurking beetles to kill them with lava, while picking up green items for extra points.
