Myth Makers: Trixie in Toyland
|
Player's Review
This 'game' is part of a series of four 'titles' that are technically the same thing except for graphics. This means same gameplay, same game modes, same... almost everything. No wonder why people hated them because of the rushed and unpolished treatment DDI (Data Design Interactive) gave to them during development and (lack of) QA testing.
Here you control Trixie who made her first appearance in another shovelware title named 'Myth Makers: Orbs of Doom' which is a Super Monkey Ball budget rip-off. For both close combat and ranged attacks, she can make use of her rattle. When killing enemies with your bullets, they become stronger though the meter is decreased gradually if getting hit, just like in Ninjabread Man. Basic gameplay as always, and nope, there is no real plot at all here. Just like in Anubis II, you get a final bossfight though here you can just use the rattle to defeat him.
For those who are asking if there are extra modes, the answer is no in this case. However, you get to play a series of bonus minigames between levels which consist of running to the goal in the form of a huge Easter egg, while picking up small eggs and also dodging green toy balls for extra points.
