Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers
|
Player's Review
This game is part of a series that started on the PS2 as a Simple series title (which was released in Europe as Zombie Zone).
Through the game you go through the stories for four girls, each one with their own POV of the plot and attacks to perform. Despite all levels for each girl being literally the same but in a different order, dialogues, enemy appearances and even the placement of each Blood Mist really differ depending on the character. Speaking of Blood Mists, those can only be defeated after upgrading Skill to a certain level, upon defeat of any of them you get a ring that can boost your stats or even make cool combos easier to perform, these rings can also level up when equipped. I could only fully defeat the first Blood Mist considering I used a clean save file, and to defeat the others you have to upgrade your skill by replaying levels many times for grinding purposes. So I decided to at least show off where all of them are located, as well as the reward (see timecodes for reference).
Not much replay value in this one unless you want to get all rings and complete the quests that aside from being completely optional, they are only available in Free Play mode. Did I mention you also have the Berserk form (aka faster and stronger attacks) that is triggered when the girl's portrait is covered in blood? This also makes health to deplete so be very careful when using it.
At the end I included a sample gameplay of the endless Survival mode, as well as the character gallery, thanks to a 100% save file that also allowed me to showcase the rings list as well.
