Player's Review
[Button mashy] Action game...SUMMIN!...by TamSoft.
A remake of Oneechanbara 1 and 2, follow [sexy] swordswoman Aya as she slays zom-zoms in a bikini and cowboy hat. Along the way, she teams up with her [cute] little sister Saki, who beats up zom-zoms with a longboi suword and fisticuffs. Oh yeah, and there's some lady named LRei iunno.
Gameplay is like the other Oneechanbara game with some changes: do combos and time them to do faster attacks and more damage. Use a dodge button to evade attacks but you have no counter follow-up. Fill up a meter to do a powerful attack. Clean the blood from weapon of choice so you can do more damage. To replace the counter system, you are given a Parry button. Time it, stun enemies, and do a Cool Finish! Aya does damage. Saki insta-kills. Slaying enemies covers the girls in blood. More blood triggers the Baneful Blood, which increases their attack at the expense of defense (different from previous games). Another mode is achieved by being aggressive while under Baneful Blood, which mimics the previous games' Baneful Blood (more damage but lose life steadily).
This longplay plays through the game on Normal, while trying to mostly spin to win with Saki (because spinny attack is too good at times) . This time, Japanese voices are chosen. Sadly, I miss a goddess statue for an achievement. I pretty sure know which one I missed...and it was out in the open, too. lol I also throw in the DLC bonus missions while I'm at it. Also this time, I have things split: first is the first game's story, the second is the second game's story, and the third is DLC. I forgot that the sweep attack has a combo line.
I'm juss sayin. Saki is a cutie.
