A fairly short racing game with hot wheels cars and certainly more of what you would expect than with the the follow up Extreme racing game. There are 40 cars to choose from although only 12 shown in the video as there are just too many. The cars used are by no means the best for the track but the most important metric when choosing a car is speed and stunt ability.

While you can destroy other cars the real key to victory is Turbo! Turbo can be collected from power up drops around each track but ideally you will perform stunts to earn turbo. The better the cars stunt capability the faster you can perform the stunts. Overall speed is still very useful though as the opponents are never far behind. The tracks are quite varied and many have hidden shortcuts to find.

In the longplay I play through each tournament while collecting the hidden cars in each track. Between each stage I will show off the stats for each car collected. Once the final cup is completed I show the three unlocked bonus tracks. The game has no real ending so I manually show the credits at the end of the video.

Overall I think this was an easier game than the N64 version but the framerate does chug especially when going around the loops and the loading times are quite long. That last Twin Mill cup though.. the difficulty really ramped up. I really had to time it to make sure thew opponent was in slalom at the same time I collect the hammer to destroy them. Failing this they will turbo off into the distance.
