Player's Review

"It's okay to run slowly. After all, it's a driving simulator. Reverse driving OK! You can also drive backwards! With accident re-enactment function!?!?
Attractions on all 6 courses Perspective can be changed! Anytime, anywhere"

Time Warner released this version a year after the Saturn version and is oddly it's own game notably different from the Saturn game. The Tracks, textures, cars, pretty much everything.

The game is split into two modes, Arcade and Playstation? and each contain three tracks. Arcade mode contains the arcade original track and more and the Playstation mode has it's own three unique tracks. There are six vehicles to choose from and 6 more to unlock by winning a timed lap of each track plus one more bonus vehicle for completing the game. All cars can be used in both modes. Each car has its own control characteristics and how well you do with them will decide the outcome. The unlocked cars are all based on animals and it seems the developers really like frogs.

For the longplay, I play through each track firstly in PlayStation mode. Firstly there is a qualifying round where you need to get a good time before it offers you the chance to do a timed lap against the enemy car. After completion I show a replay so you can see a bit more of the track. Then it's onto arcade mode to complete it's three tracks. In this mode you are not allowed to crash during the championship lap. I make use of a different car for each track but by no means select the most optimal to drive on that track. After the credits have rolled i show a lap in practice mode using the final unlock ship car. It's fast with really fast handling, but be careful as it is easy to tip over.
