Player's Review

Bit of a strange game this one. Its a space themed racer with a sci-fi story line. The game starts out like a tunnel racer where you need to stay on the magma trail to keep your speed up. Simple enough, and maybe the game should have stayed this way.

After the first few levels you go off to different system to racer their tunnels..er...Rails. These rails twist and turn so much its almost impossible to stay centred so it will often look like i'm looking into space or the floor. After 4 tracks, you move onto the next system. This is where the game drags on a bit as the rails are not to different, and their are a lot of them.

Also on the rails are other racers trying to defeat you by knocking you around and slowing you down. It is especially annoying on later levels as the ai don't have to win in order to progress, just me, a stupid rule that's plagued many racing games. And they make it as difficult as possible. If I fall behind it can take a while to catch up, if I can at all. If i'm in front they always just over my shoulder ready to shoot me down. To make matters worse they have a really quick recovery time after I have shot them.

Each quadrant has a main opponent and specific cut scenes between races. Each loading screen has a little puzzle to solve. Beating the puzzle unlocks that track in single race mode. The game only offers a few ships with no unlockable ones. So after 5 racers I have em all and only need the fastest one although I do interchange with the fourth craft occasionally for its faster recovery time.
