Released only in the Japanese region even though its almost entirely in English. The can be difficult and unfair with a rubber banding system that Nintendo would be proud of (mario kart). You will be swapping positions often with the lead runners so it is very important to save a boost for the final stretch as the ai runners will fight you for 1st place right up to the line.

The game does have a strange progression system which is probably why it didn't see a release outside of Japan. You have to complete 3 tracks with all 6 runners in first place in order to then unlock the final track and boss runner which you need to beat with all 6 main characters in order to unlock the ending credits. It certainly gets very repetitive as you get to view the final runners intro every time you run that last track. It can be quite aggravating when its the same 2 runners that fight you for first place every time.

All 6 runners handle quite differently in terms of grip, speed and boost charge. Any other game you would choose the one you believe handles best, but here you have to play them all. Zik Cabarello turns like crap, but he is big and fast and can plough through anything and just bounce off the walls while keeping speed so not a bad character. Anthoine Kythca has a lot of boosts and turns reasonably well, but she is so damn slow even with boost making it very challenging to use her. Doris Freya is perhaps the best character as she is fairly fast and turns on a dime.

After completing the game, Reverse track mode is unlocked as well as the Militarious boss character. he turns really well with good speed. From this point, I complete each reverse track which in turn unlocks a secret runner which I show off. The final runner is a baby which I show on the first track. After nearly 3 hours, everything is unlocked. I show a segment of the after race demo after every race, just to show the runner model really. only about 30 seconds (apart from the first runner where I show full track demo).
