5 Star Racing

Player's Review
5* Racing. A Budget release by Phoenix games in 2003.
The game looks initially promising and not to bad. You get 5 different vehicle types (5 star racing ha...) each with two tracks to race on. However you soon realise that it doesn't matter if you win or lose as you are not working towards an end goal, All you are doing is getting a place on the track leader board. There isn't even a credits sequence to unlock.
Each car type controls slightly differently and even each individual car seems to have its own characteristics, but they are not listed anywhere. The controls are very heavy so you have to hold a direction for a second before the car reacts and be sure to let go when it does else you will over-steer. if you hit the brakes you will come to a complete stop in no time allowing the other skalextric cars to shoot past.
For a budget game its not to bad, but overall it sux since it cant get anymore casual without anykind of goal. Its game over after each race no matter what happens.
