The Italian Job

The Italian Job PS1 version released in 2002 (US) and based on the 1969 film of the same name. It was first released in 2001 in EU.

The game looks a little rough for a late ps1 game although overall quality was winding down in all ps1 games at this point. It is low res and scenery is quite pixilated. It is a kind of glimpse into what a driver/gta London release could have been. Apart from the gfx I have to say the worst part of the game is the obscene loading times between levels. I suspect 30 mins of this video is just loading screens!

I play through the main game which is quite short but also quite difficult as some levels have really tight times to beat. Completing the game unlocks the Lamborghini Miura and challenge mode which contains 10 levels of ...challenges. Nothing is unlocked for completing this mode. I then play through Checkpoint mode and Destructor mode which again unlocks nothing before finally showing Free Ride mode where I show a couple of hidden things in that mode.
