Google cover Translation:-
"An evolution of the original top shoe racing! Get addicted to thrilling battles brought back to life with full polygons! The classic Monaco GP is back here with the latest technology! In this era of real racing games, a particularly innovative system has been revived. A simple, exhilarating racing action game with an unchanging theme of "avoiding and overtaking enemy cars'' that will keep you wanting to continue. Experience the newly reborn “Monaco GP”! Added new elements such as boost jump and star combo. In addition to the original mode with cars and other things, there is also a nostalgic classic mode, and a time attack recommended for those who like to play, with machines of different specs and 15 circuits waiting for you!"

The original Arcade game was an endless run on a single track which has been recreated and enhanced for the PS2 version of the game. On it's own that would be a pretty lacklustre release so there is also the addition of 15 new tracks in Grand Prix mode spread over three difficulty levels to give you something to play through. Completing each difficulty unlocks a car and makes the tracks available in Arcade Original mode.

The longplay opens with Grand Prix mode which is the main bulk of the game. This has added extras over the Arcade game such as combo stars which give you a speed boost. The ability to jump over cars and obstacles and other random powerups that can an include negative effects such as reversing your controls! The new tracks have medium and sharp turns requiring a laser focus on the track ahead and notifications at the top of the screen. To win, you just need to cross the line within the time limit and beat the rival in the final race.

Arcade mode then follows. This is pretty much an endless survival run. Once the time has run out, you will rely on any lives you have accumulated by reaching ever expanding score milestones. Once all lives are gone, it is game over. I only play classic mode which represents the original arcade game with enhanced graphics. The track is mostly straight with a few quick left/right direction changes. The main obstacle is the other cars in your way. I ended the video showing a demo track for no other reason than just to show how the attract mode is presented.
