Time Cruise was released in 1992, 1 year AFTER the japanese Time Cruise II which is 100% identical!
What in the world is going on here?
Turns out the japanese developer FACE was working on a Pinball game called Time Cruise - but the game was too ambitious for the PC Engine and eventually cancelled. Unfortunately for them they had already advertised it heavily in japanese magazines. So when they made another Pinball game with the same concept they couldnt use the Time Cruise name to avoid confusion. Thus Time Cruise II was born, which was then released in the US as Time Cruise!
