Tasmania Monogatari

Player's Review
Tasmania Monogatari is an action video game for the Game Boy. It was developed and released in Japan on July 27th, 1990 by Pony Canyon. A North American version titled Tasmania Story was developed and released by FCI, Inc. in April 1991.
Despite the title, the game hardly has anything to do with the eponymous movie, which is not surprising, since that movie was not released in Japan. This game is actually a port of Pony Canyon's Fruit Panic for the MSX which plays similar to the classic arcade game Mappy.
The only ten levels will loop until you get the minimum required amount of points to see an ending. The score goal is around 70.000 points. There might or might not be alternative endings from getting a higher score, but I did not find any information that would suggest so.
