Pocket Bomberman

Plot: 'Long, long ago, the sun was covered by a dark and heavy cloud. It was said this cloud was caused by a monster that had sealed the Sword of the Sun. Legends also says that to break the seal, a hero must collect five Power Stones that are guarded by monsters. Bomberman takes up the challenge as he is the last hero strong enough to defeat such monsters.'

Original monochromatic release. A Game Boy Color version was released months later, as a launch title in North America where it was previously unreleased. Gameplay is slightly different from what is seen in previous iterations, since it's some sort of platformer where you move and jump, while retaining the ability to use bombs and it has the same set of powerups as well. At the end of the video I show the short yet unique Jump Mode which consists of three 'racing' courses where you have to jump and place bombs along the way to kill anything that obstructs his path.
