GG Aleste 3

Player's Review
Previously unreleased third entry in the classic Aleste series. Another company named M2 decided to acquire the rights for the entire saga from Compile and as a result, they started to develop a third title, which was released exclusively as part of the Aleste Collection bundle for Nintendo Switch and PS4, though there was a special edition of the Game Gear Micro in white color that never saw the light outside of Japan and also that it wasn't distributed as a separate unit, but rather for those who pre-ordered the bundle.
The game is pretty much like the other titles in the series, with a difficulty choice right at the beginning, Special is Hard mode which is the one used here. You have six weapons to choose from, and this can be done by finding a green drone which throws a capsule that switches weapons after a few seconds (it can also throw a 'P' icon to increase its power). There is also a red drone that throws red gems, collecting a certain amount activates a shield that protects your ship from one hit. Through the levels you also find certain objects/enemy ships where by destroying them all rewards you with 50,000-70,000 bonus points, due to the nature of its difficulty I only got to show a few, especially at the later stages.
At the end, you get one of two endings depending on the difficulty chosen. As I played this on Special, the happy ending is shown, but I also wanted to show off the other ending from Normal mode which is shown right at the last seconds of this video.
00:00 - Start

03:46 - Wave 2: Last Messiah

26:37 - Wave 6: Whale Cry

42:43 - Credits and endings
