Hudson Hawk, developed by Special FX and published by Ocean Software in 1991.
“Cat-burglary can be solitary work especially when most of your time is spent indoors… “insideâ€. But now you are Hudson Hawk as he regains his freedom only to be railroaded into yet another “jobâ€. Using all your “professional experience†you must now enter highly secured buildings, beat the most sophisticated alarm systems, avoid vicious guard dogs, crack safes and eventually obtain the mirrored crystal - maybe now you can beat the criminals who have made a dog-house of your life as a cat-burglar.â€
Another Ocean Movie Licenced game which was developed for most of the 8/16 bit Home Computers of the time. Some effort went into this game and the Spectrum version in particular to produce a good game. Id rate this higher than the C64 version if only because the difficulty level is better tuned. The Spectrum version has some nice well drawn gfx and in game music. The game plays well with better control of your character although there is still a need for precision movement on platforms.
The game is very Spectrum in its use of colour which itself is rare in this period of Spectrum games. It overall very well presented and I'm getting the impression that Ocean was giving their last Spectrum games in 91/92 proper quality that platform always deserved.
