Operation Thunderbolt

Player's Review
Spectrum 128k
This is a sequal to Operation wolf which was a much better game in my opinion, but this game does add a story element to play through. This is another brutally difficult game for the spectrum. You do get about 8 credits to start with and I am on the final credit when I reach the final level. Sometimes you appear to not take a lot of damage when grenades are filling the screen and then a single soldier can suddenly tare you up. Maybe the game is easier in 2 players to more effectively cover both sides of the screen. Its taken me a long time to record this as its such a difficult game even though items are constantly being dropped. Just never that all important health drop when I really need it!
Like space gun, the enemies fill up the screen with grenades flying all over. This is amazingly quite fast and smooth, but also a lot to deal with having a slow ass reticule that blends into the scenery.
I have also recorded the snes version to compare against this game.
