Player's Review
Short and simple game (not necessarily easy) based on Choplifter but not quite the same. I'm not sure about why the game exists but it was issued as a free game with Team 17 full game titles at that time. The disk also contained a demo level from Overdrive that loops each time you complete it. I got the game with Body Blows Galactic as well another game that I cant recall. Maybe Overdrive or Project-X SE. I don't think it was being included by the time Worms or Alien Breed 3D were out.
The game has only five levels which loop and repeat until your lives are gone. Difficulty may go up between loops but I cant be sure as any difference was subtle. Each mission has a set amount of men to collect and in your way are many annoyances wanting to take you down. Along the way you can pick up weapon powerups but these can end up more of a hindrance as you accidently kill the men. Kill too many and it's mission over as you lose a life. Between levels you get a high speed bonus level allowing you to collect energy as you navigate a high speed tunnel sequence.
Overall its a well presented game with some of the usual Amiga gfx effects expected from Team 17. In the last stage I show ending the level due to too many deaths and then lose remaining lives to end the game.
