Player's Review

"The return of the awesome foursome! - Now two dudes or dudettes can join forces and double team shredder and his turtle terminators in a bid to save April and Splinter. Choose which lean, green turtle you control and haul shell around this fully scrolling version of the coin-op game and save april from a burning building. Meanwhile splinter gets kidnapped and you must trash dodgy dudes Bebob and Rocksteady to set him free."

Not much to say about this one. It's a nice game for the c64. While reviews now might not favor it, my 11 year old self had no trouble loading this up and playing through and enjoying this brawler. Bearing in mind I had never seen the original arcade at this point.

It is missing the intro that I later saw in the Amiga version but other than that I think it is all there. Definitely an improvement over the Spectrum version which totally ignored the abilities of the 128k spectrum apart from the title music. So yeah, the c64 version was a nice game overall and I didn't regret buying this one back in the day.

The game is quite colourful and features some nice music on each stage. Control feels mostly ok although slightly laggy at times if there is a lot on screen. It can get a bit more difficult in later levels with enemies needing more hits to defeat but if you just use jump kick, you can defeat most enemies without taking any hits yourself, although it's a bit boring to play that way.
