Player's Review

"Stringfellow Hawke - along with his super new helicopter Airwolf 2 - has been given a mission to destroy an alien craft which is threatening civilisation. By collecting and using sophisticated new weaponry you must overcome the many perils facing you along the route and, more importantly, destroy the craft.

- REALISTIC HELICOPTER FLIGHT CONTROL
- FRANTIC "BATTLE ACTION" WITH ALIEN STAR SHIPS
- COMPULSIVE GAME PLAY
- MULTIPLE SCROLLING LEVELS"

How can creating a game based on the iconic helicopter be so difficult! A helicopter replacement for choplifter would have worked better. As it stands this is a budget game with even less resemblance to the source material than the first game.

The game has four levels and thx to some suspect collision detection, the game more difficult than it should be and not helped by enemies that seem to spawn in the middle of the screen and gun for you. In this game Airwolf takes to space to fight Corona and aliens! On your journey you can collect tokens to build up your weapons and lay waste to the enemy.

The final boss is weird. There is a bit of a wait until it launches and its pretty straight forward to destroy it. Upon completion, the game goes round again with higher difficulty. The only change I noticed was an extended level one. A third go round didn't add anything more so I through my lives away on the forth run. The longplay is far longer than it deserved to be but I wanted to be sure there was nothing more to show. The original Airwolf game looped many times with only subtle mission changes.
