"The First real Fruit Machine Simulator including: Cash Box, Nudge Box (with compu-Nudge and Nudge Bank), Skill Climb, Winning Streak, Cash Gamble, Holds and Mega-Holds, Skill Chances and Party Time Meter!"

Fruit machine simulator. A conversion of the Amstrad/Spectrum game by the Oliver Twins. Not a lot of positive things to say about this game. The Spectrum game is a very good and enjoyable game but this C64 conversion completely misses the mark.

The game is an arcade fruit machine simulator as you would expect from the name. Put in the free coins you start with and build up your fortune. In the longplay I try to show as many of the different options of the game that i can and cash out when I broke the bank.

The spectrum version looks like a much more polished game. The C64 game looks quite basic in comparison and the gameplay didnt transfer very well. The game doesn't seem to follow the rules making it difficult to to show the biggest jackpots. Just watch the spectrum game to see how much better it is. The game also cheats not allowing you to land on certain light targets. The Nudge token screen for example, it doesn't matter if you press when the light is on, the game will always bound back to a lower win. If you dare to stake coins, you will always lose the odd/even gamble.

I slowed the game right down to 20% to try and get round it but it just reveals more of the underhandedness that's going on. You may notice I win the jackpot a lot. There does seem to be an exploit that if I hold fire for a second and let go it will 9 times out of 10 ..win.

Overall then, this is a pretty crappy game on the C64 looking like crap compared to the Oliver twins version on Amstrad and Spectrum.
