Player's Review

"So Smooth, so 3-D. so FAST. Rescue, dodge, annihilate. Bring the Arcade smack bang onto your 64. Another Raeburn classic. If you can beat this you're a better mouse than me! -Brilltoid! Yowzer! Five -Star Super-Ace A1 Fit"

The Second game developed by Gavin Raeburn and this time its a shootemup of sorts which plays a little like choplifter. The game appears to have 8 levels which loop at least once (16levels?) becoming much more difficult before resetting for the next loop. In classic Raeburn style the game is endless and keeps on looping until all lives are lost.

The game is pretty slick with its parallax playfield and fast moving sprites. Still the odd gfx glitch but its a marked improvement over the previous game (The Equalizer). You can scroll either left or right shooting down oncoming enemies. Your mission however is rescue a number of men at the bottom the screen which is indicated at the top of the screen. You do get smart bombs but like the next game (Thunderbolt) there is no indication of how many you have and they do run out at the worst possible time.

Overall its a nice game which generally moves a bit too fast on later levels. Too much on the screen that homes in on you making them difficult to avoid or shoot. No ending of any kind though so its pretty much an endless score attack.
