"Totally Wicked Action!!! Do Ariel 180's 360's 720's the lot!! 7 Crucial Skateparks plus 7 Cross Country's! Pop ollies over fences, puddles and rough ground - You gotta be cool not to SLAM!"

Released as a £1.99 budget game, this is listed as the 8th game by Gaxx (Gavin Raeburn). I don't currently know what the 7th game is. As expected the game is endless and loops forever more.

The game is very short but not nearly as challenging as previous Gaxx games. The skatepark sections are shown in a 3D isometric style. Control might take some adjusting to and jumps can be deceptive messing up the landings. Although you can play with some style doing 360s,720s and the likes, you are better off just sticking to the objective and collecting those flags as quick as possible.

Every other stage is cross country. You just need to move forward and pass through the flags before crossing the line. It should be simple but you do have inertia working against you. The slightest tap on the stick could have you whizzing across the screen into an obstacle. Going over a line before collecting all flags results in being sent back to the start. You get plenty of time for these stages.

Overall a short and simple game that is well presented and looking pretty slick on the C64. The time limit is manageable but the game isn't without it's challenge keeping you coming back for more. Not the worst game to spend 1.99 on. The music replayer is a bit buggy though causing the music to break up a bit when the screen scrolls. After completing the game, i cut out footage of loosing some lives leaving only one left to show the game over.
