"8 bit machine versions: The TITUS team has edited the 8 bit versions of this game which was originally created for Amiga. On the 8 bit versions, some secondary phases had to be cut out."

The above is a massive understatement as the C64 release of the game has no relation with the above backstory to the game. The included instructions are not relevant to the game and doesn't play anything like any other version of Crazy Cars II. In fact, the game is pretty much an exact copy of the original Crazy Cars with some gameplay tweaks and gfx changes. This is possibly one of the laziest sequels to grace any platform with maybe just a day to make changes from the first game.

The game is again an endurance to see how long you can last with no ending other than game over when you run out of time. The game starts off easy. One of the notable differences from the first game is that you are not instantly thrown to the sides when taking a corner, however there are now obstacles to avoid. The game features the exact same four tracks of the original will loop over and over with the track order switched occasionally. As the game progresses you lose a second on the clock every so often as face an increasing number of cars which get in your way costing you time.

At some point either the time will be to limiting or the cars too numerous to complete the level ending the game. It gets to the point where the game can't display enough cars on screen at once so just starts dotting them about at random making them unavoidable. This revolutionary at the time gameplay element was later re-used in Cisco Heat for the C64.

Overall, this is a terrible game and shame on Titus for putting out such a blatant minimal effort. It's quite telling that no one bothered to crack this version of the game 100%. Only one attempt by Hokotu Force but it has a gfx issue.
