Player's Review

"In the centuries since the sealing of the Pharaoh's Tomb, even the dim memories of the fabulous treasure contained in the pyramid, have become infrequent whispers on the lips of mad adventurers. For three thousand years, the tomb has been a mystery and deathtrap. It is rumoured that the chambers contain dark and terrible dangers for those that would attempt to make the pharaoh's treasure their own. And even more ghastly, the pharaoh and the guardian mummy are said to walk the chambers for all eternity, destroying all trespassers in the tomb. You've heard it all before and lived to tell about it and this is a chance of a lifetime. You've spent months finding these ruins and finally you're here at the fabled tomb. Still... what if the legends are true? As you descend into the first chamber you hear footsteps..."

One of the earliest games for the C64. it doesnt look or sound that great but the gameplay is there. The game has three levels. Each level opens up more rooms and treasures to plunder as well as speeding up the gameplay.

Each time you collect a treasure you gain an extra life. lives are lost when shot by the mummy or the Pharoah and these an be especially annoying as they just spawn randomly and can easily spawn right in front of killing you before you can get a shot off. The bird wont kill you but can transport you well away from where you want to be. Collecting a key can unlock doors making it easier to enter specific rooms. You will lose the key if caught by any enemy.
