Player's Review

"DEATH WISH 3 The big screen classic, in which modern day vigilante Paul Kersey wreaks his own form of revenge on the scum and filth that terrorise the streets of modern day New York. For too long the gangs have run wild, unchallenged in their merciless attacks and violations of innocent citizens. Muggings and robberies have become a daily feature of city life. So when the chief of police turns a blind eye you decide to take over where the law left off. Strap on your famous 475 WILDEY MAGNUM, turn yourself into a one man fighting force armed with pump action shotgun, machine gun and rocket launcher. Now turn the tables on the punks and creeps who certainly know how to dish out the violence but may not be so good at being on the receiving end."

Another game where you have to choose between music and sfx and you cant change it once in game. The music is great and all, but looping for 30 odd mins, its starts to grate. The sfx however are nothing special and probably just as as annoying. The longplay is mostly with music, but I show a short run at the end with sfx.

The aim of the game is kill all the gang members running the streets and ultimately the gang leaders that hide indoors. The game is endless meaning the riot leaders will keep respawning at various fixed locations. The map can switch between two modes that show weapons or gang leaders. Just keep killing for a highscore, but hit the old ladies or cops as that causes a negative score and the cops will turn on you if provoked.

The most annoying aspect for me is the way the map works with areas only reachable by navigating hidden rooms in the various houses which can easily get you lost or stuck in various locations. As the game progresses weapon drops become more plentiful and more gang leaders can be found with ever more gang members trying to take you down. Ultimately you have to lose with a Game Over though. It's all about the overall score !!
