Sega Ages: Thunder Force AC
|
Player's Review
Shmup by Technosoft and ported and spruced up by M2.
Port (this game) of an arcade port (Thunder Force AC) of a Mega Genesis game (Thunder Force III).
Something about a remnant of an empire and some moons and pilots piloting a spaceship to run them out. Iunno!
Gameplay is similar to Thunder Force III with very few changes. Fun things added to this port are additional ships, a Kids mode (don't lose your power-up when you lose a life. Reminds me of TF VI), and can swap between Old (Japanese AC) and New (overseas AC). Differences are overall ship firepower (can't even clear a row of missiles in Stage 1 on Old with Sever!) and enemy placements. It's pretty noticeable.
This...something-play!...1cc OLD AC on Normal. Not shown/edited out are 2 resets because Stage 2 can be a little troll.
