Google translation of back cover:-
"Keio Flying Force - Starting in the flowering city of Edo, the pursuit of the key to the hidden treasure ensues with the shogunate, US troops, Russian troops, the Seven Lucky Gods, raccoon dogs, cats, cows, octopuses, dogs, and even birds all joining together in a grand battle!
There's no need to get so upset about your keys being stolen. I mean, it might be a very important key after all.
You idiot! I'm not going to eat until I get my keys back! What? I'm not going to eat until I get them back!? Well, I guess there's no other way. Well, let's go! Rami-chan's voice is Miho Kanne who is active in TV commercials and dramas."
Japanese version of Keio Flying squadron. Played to show differences between this and English versions. Main differences are longer cutscenes and I think a few different enemy patterns.
A fairly short yet quite challenging shoot em up on the SegaCD. The game is notable for voiced cutscenes that take place not only in the intro but also in between levels and the ending. There is a lot of gfx tearing due to sprite limits and this can cause some problems as enemy projectiles get lost in the flicker and can kill you without you knowing what did it. Redbook cd audio is featured throughout making this one game that is making good use of the cd format and surly a must own for the Segacd.
Control is straight forward with a single fire button that auto fires and a special that can fire off one of your birds in a blast wave killing enemies when the screen gets busy. Sacrificing a bird limits your firepower but fear not as letting go of fire for a few seconds will restore the bird power. Power ups will appear allowing you to level up your main weapon in either single beam or multibeam. A choice of three secondary fireweapons are also available and can be levelled up also.
