How allowed is creating a longplay through using either an FPGA replicator like MiSTer FPGA or a (Static) Recompilation (Recomp for short)

For systems that can run using FPGA we instead require them to be recorded using bizhawk instead, that way it can be recorded in a lossless format.

As for recomps, they can be done but only for games that have no other versions on systems that we already allow for, unless there is a significant difference between them. An example is the Dead Space Mobile port, as it has no official release on a platform that we allow longplays for but it was recompiled for PS Vita

by systems you mean emulated ones like NES and Sega Genesis, or you mean stuff like windows, macOS, and Linux in ported softwares beyond static recomps like MAME and ares?
