Platformer adventure-y game by Nintendo.
Follow Metroid as she lands on some planet to find some alien thing and a brian.
Gameplay involves finding an item, using said item to navigate an obstacle to explore, then finding ANOTHER item to allow you to progress. Not much sequence breaking unless you do funny movement techs.
This longplay plays through the game three times: first playthrough is a "casual"/"intended" playthrough where I collect items in an intended sequence without using funny movement tech (unmorph jumping) while collecting 100% items (including all 3 beams). That run does not get the best ending but gets 2nd best. Second playthrough is a "New Game+" playthrough with 100% item collection except beams. That gets best ending and is easy BECAUSE you don't have to explore for progression items. I also show off the Door Glitch. Third playthrough is a scuffed "speedrun" where I do funny movement shenanigans (Unmorph Jumps) to get things early (Early Ice Beam, Early Varia suit). This one gets 100% (including all three beams) and BARELY gets the best ending. I personally recommend doing Ridley first without Varia. The bomb unmorph jump is super finicky...or you can just do the door glitch. For fun, I do some funny passwords (ENGAGE RIDLEY!, Justin Bailey, Narpas Sword!)
