Sorry, this is the definition of games usually published by Big Fish Games, http://www.bigfishgames.com/
such as Echoes of the Past: The Revenge of the Witch, Eternal Journey: New Atlantis , Royal Detective: The Lord of Statues, etc etc.
They have a category of Hidden Object/Adventure on the left menu.
