"Experience the heart-stopping action of F-1 racing on the most challenging circuits in the world! You are in control of a precision machine, ready to test your skill and abilities to the limit to win the ultimate prize: The championship cup!"

Super Monaco return with a sequel featuring as your main rival for the championship cup and he is out to win it! The game is largely an improvement from the previous game with the car much easier to control and car options a bigger effect on the car. I don't think we have to worry about tyre degradation in this one though. Also, no more split screen gameplay.

The game is still quite challenging though and if you don't finish in first place, Senna will. As it's just about beating this one rival there is much less racing than the previous game and the opponents are just there to slow you down. Unlike the previous game where the race finishing order was very well spread out so you didn't need to win every race. Before each race after setting up your car it is advised to do a lap or two qualifying as it is highly unlikely you can win starting from the back. That would be a humiliation for Senna whilst playing in Professional mode (although I just nicked it in Germany thx to being a high speed track without a qualifier). Also your top speed governed by car setup should be at least 316 kph, less will make it near impossible to catch Senna.

Beginner difficulty most notable difference is that it shows the race map and where Senna is on it during the race but will also allow you to win races with automatic gears. auto vs manual speed difference didn't really allow for using auto on pro difficulty. The end result is the same though which ever you play on so probably no point in making it overly difficult. The password system comes in really handy so you don't have to finish all tracks in on sitting and can easily replay a race that went bad.

Overall a well presented and well playing racing game on the Master System that is better than the previous game. The only real problem is that it can feel a bit monotonous as theirs not much spacing between the rivals so once past them its just you and the road until you meet Senna or cross the line.
